It may be that someone posts a clip with the caption "Music production troubles #iykyk", which could make sense if you are also involved in music production. It applies to fanbases for media pieces, such as TV shows or video games.
Another common example of an IYKYK scene is sharing an experience with someone from a different generation. A post could be made that says, "When you're in virtual class, your camera is off #iykyk." It might make sense to a teenager, but not to someone who has never been to virtual school.
